About
ULI’s presence in India began with the support of founding partners ANAROCK, Blackstone, Brookfield, Hines, Raheja, RMZ, Tata and Xander. Since its launch in 2023, we have built a dynamic and growing network of almost 200 members from across the built environment sector. A committed Executive Committee leads ULI India, alongside active member-driven groups including the Young Leaders Group (YLG), Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) and NEXT. In our first year, we hosted two annual conferences in Mumbai, led key convenings in Delhi and Bangalore, and sent a national delegation to the ULI Asia Pacific Summit.
In FY 2024–25, we launched UrbanPlan India, a strategic workshop that gives professionals a hands-on experience in tackling urban redevelopment challenges. Adapted from ULI’s global format, the program was piloted with three successful workshops in Delhi and has already sparked demand from corporate teams nationwide. We also introduced the Delhi NCR District Council (DNDC) – a focused initiative that brings together senior leaders to collaborate on Delhi’s urban future. This regional platform now plays a key role in shaping outcome-driven discussions around infrastructure, housing, mobility and planning.
As we move into FY 2025–26, ULI India is placing stronger emphasis on government engagement, using our neutral platform to translate conversation into practical action. Through roundtables, workshops and cross-sector forums, we aim to address real implementation gaps and support city-scale transformation across India.
From infrastructure and airports to regional planning and policy innovation, ULI India remains focused on advancing the mission of shaping the future of the built environment for transformative impact, rooted in knowledge, trust and collaboration.
